How important is work-life balance for you?*
- Massively important. I am not willing to make any significant sacrifices on free time for the sake of my career and want to find something as close as possible to a 9-5.
- Somewhat important. I want to preserve as much of my free time as possible (particularly on weekends), but I respect the need to stay late on some weekdays if it’s not too common.
- Relatively insignificant. I feel that my career should be the priority at this stage of my life and I am willing to make significant sacrifices for that, whether it be working late on a weekday or even some work on weekends.

How do you feel about salaries?*
- Salaries are relatively unimportant to me. I want a relatively well-paid career, and I know law can provide me with that, but the money is not a huge factor (other aspects, like social impact or work-life balance, are more important).
- Salaries are quite important to me. I am looking to strike a balance between a very decent paycheck and other factors.
- Salaries are very important to me. I intend to work my way into the very top percentiles of earners (for a variety of reasons – potentially to live comfortably and buy expensive possessions – but also potentially to support family, etc.).

How important are perks to you?*
- I do not care about perks. The flashy bonuses of working at a City firm do not appeal to me – instead, factors like a healthy work-life balance matter more.
- I might use some perks. Small bonuses like a free taxi home after a certain point in the evening are useful, but I do not feel particularly fascinated by them.
- I love having a number of perks. Office gyms, complimentary food, leisure activities in the office – these are significant points of appeal for me.

What kind of practice areas/work are you interested in?*
- I want work that impacts people’s everyday lives. Drawing up wills, divorce settlements, house purchases – these are what appeal to me.
- I am interested in a range of work – potentially some on a more corporate level, but also some more personal work. More niche practice areas such as IP appeal to me.
- I am primarily interested in working with large corporations on aspects related to finance/business. M&A seems very interesting to me.

What type of culture are you looking for?*
- I want a friendly, welcoming culture where everyone knows everyone. I would like a generally relaxed atmosphere around the office.
- I would like a generally strong culture, but also don’t expect to become close with everyone.
- I am not particularly concerned with having a super warm, friendly culture. Instead, I really want to be part of a high performing team, and would thrive in an intense environment.

How important is the ability to get involved in international work as part of your job?*
- Travelling for work (and getting involved in cross-border projects) does not particularly interest me.
- I am interested in travelling for work and getting involved in work overseas, but it is not a crucial element of my interests, at all.
- Working on international projects and travelling regularly (perhaps for a secondment even) is integral to how I picture my career.
