We’re Now Partnered with the Law Society – Here’s How Users and Law Firms Will Benefit

The Lawyer Portal (TLP) is proud to announce that it is now in official partnership with The Law Society of England and Wales.

The partnership was formally announced in a Law Society a press release on 10th September 2018. It means that we’re now working alongside a number of the leading professional bodies in the UK, in addition to:

  • A rapidly growing portfolio of law firms;

  • Legal education providers;

  • Hundreds of schools and universities.

TLP aims to provide its users with the best information and guidance on legal study and practice.

The Law Society partnership will help us achieve that goal.

Law Society President Christina Blacklaws commented: “through this partnership with TLP we can deliver content direct to those that want to know more about working in law, from a trusted source.”

Benefits to TLP Users

As well as reinforcing TLP’s position as a “trusted source” of information for aspiring legal professionals, the partnership means that we will be able to bring further benefit to our users by:

  • Working with even more law firms to ensure that you get maximum exposure to training contract, work experience and other networking opportunities;
  • Providing an even wider range of exciting events for everyone, from school-age students to training contract applicants;
  • Broadening our widening participation agenda, ensuring the best and brightest have access to all the information they need to get into law.

So, keep checking the site and our social media for all the latest updates and opportunities.

Benefits to Law Firms

Partnering with the Law Society will allow us to build on our existing relationships with law firms.

Firms engaging with The Lawyer Portal’s newly-endorsed platform will be able to:

  • Engage early with school and university students;

  • Communicate prospective legal professionals by providing valuable content through channels such as podcasts, social media takeovers, articles and national events;

  • Widen participation into law for students of all backgrounds.

We are keen to work with law firms to ensure that the legal profession reflects the diversity of society.

This view is shared by The Law Society, with  Ms Blacklaws commenting: “supporting platforms such as TLP ensures students from all backgrounds have direct access to information at the time when they are considering a career in law.”
