Clifford Chance’s virtual offering has been greatly enhanced through the firm’s Events Hub. Since the 1st September, Clifford Chance has delivered online panels, skills sessions and a conference to give potential candidates an unparalleled insight into the firm.

The firm’s One Young World Caucus: How to Make a Difference was a particular highlight, where attendees were inspired by other students who had set-up wonderful societies or initiatives that really had made a difference. Attendees heard from Clifford Chance’s LGBT+ and Impactful Social Action Winners and the event left many feeling empowered that they also could make a difference.

There are still many events to come between now and the 4th December with applications still open for these. Some standouts include:

  • Together We Are Series: Resilience: A session to hear from Clifford Chance trainees about the pressures and demands of their current working environment. They will share practical tips on how best to cope with adapting to change, particularly to the new virtual world we live in.
  • Views from the firm’s Pro Bono Team: Clifford Chance is particularly committed to its pro bono work with an annual target of helping 100,000 people a year. Hear from Clifford Chance employees who have completed pro bono work on how they improved access to justice, access to education and access to finance.
  • Insight Series: Finance and Capital Markets: Clifford Chance’s Global Head of Legal Education & Training will explore the firm’s finance and capital markets practice.
  • Views from the firm’s Partnership: Hear future gazing commentary from Clifford Chance’s Partners about the future of the legal industry and their predictions for the firm in the next 10 years.

The firm is also hosting a series of events for Black History Month:

  • A view from Afua Hirsch on Race, Identity and Belonging
  • Diversity and Equality in the Criminal Justice System
  • A view from June Sarpong on the Power of Privilege and how White People can Challenge Racism
  • Thriving through Uncertainty
  • Together We Are: Advocating for Race Equality and Celebrating Heritage

The professional speakers at the events will consider how to navigate through these uncertain times, allowing attendees to consider how to bring improvements to the workplace and society.
