Current US Bar Exam Formats
The New York Bar Exam consists of:
- The 2-day Uniform Bar Exam (UBE)
- Multistate Multiple Choice Questions (MBE), Essays (MEE) and Performance Test (MPT)
- Online New York law course (NYLC) and exam (NYLE)
Whilst the California Bar Exam consists of:
- The 2-day Uniform Bar Exam (UBE)
- Multistate Multiple Choice Questions (MBE), Essays (MEE) and Performance Test (MPT)
All applicants must also take the MPRE ethics exam before or after sitting the New York Bar Exam or the California Bar Exam.

Bar Exam Dates: February and July
The University of Law yearly intakes:
- May – July (in preparation for the February exams)
- September – November (in preparation for the July exams)
Duration and Study Time: You can join anytime within a three-month window of the course start date, but please note that the later you start the course, the higher the weekly study hours you will need to devote. The course runs over a period of nine months and takes around 12-15 hours of study per week, but it is completely flexible. You can adapt your studies around your personal and professional commitments and study at your own pace.
Study Options: This course is part-time, online.
