The BPTC is quite competitive, so there are certain hurdles along the application process. You must, at a minimum, hold a 2:2 in either a law degree, or a non-law degree and have also passed the GDL (law conversion course). You must also pass the BCAT, and apply to join one of the four Inns of Court.
The initial application form will ask for your educational information, work experience, why you wish to pursue a career at the Bar, and two references. You may also be required to attend an interview/assessment centre, depending on the course provider.
