Bristows

Spotlight

You can read the latest news, insights and tips from our current trainees here.

Quality work, leading clients and an environment where you’re given all the early responsibility you can handle.  If you’d like to be one of the handful of trainee solicitors we take on each year, read on.

Bristows is a medium-sized, full service law firm that handles the kind of work you might normally associate with only the largest firms.  We have a client list that includes leading businesses from a variety of innovative sectors, including Life Sciences and Technology, whether global corporate, growing start-ups, charities or financial institutions.

Bristows might be known as one of the foremost intellectual property firms in the UK, but this only tells part of the story.  Our lawyers are recognised as leading authorities in a wide variety of legal disciplines and, as a firm, we offer a true breadth of expertise.

Due to the nature of our clients and work we undertake, many of our solicitors come from background where they’ve earned degrees in science, technology and other technical disciplines.  However the firm values having a diverse and inclusive workforce and we welcome applications from all degree disciplines, with current trainees having degrees ranging from History and English, to Engineering and Biochemistry.

Our trainees work alongside our partners dealing directly with clients right from the start.  There’s plenty of responsibility, but this is matched by an extremely supportive and friendly culture.  Opportunities to get involved in life at the firm include taking part in charity events, playing in a sports team or joining our staff committees and networks.
