The Lawyer Portal is excited to announce the launch of its latest conference, The TLP Apprentice Conference aimed at current apprentices in law firms.
Hosted in official partnership with The Law Society of England and Wales at their HQ in London, this event provides apprentices with a fantastic opportunity to develop the vital tools needed to accelerate the transition from academia to a professional business environment.
Apprentices will experience interactive workshops curated to hone essential skills in networking, impactful presence, efficient business writing and confident verbal communications delivered by a former senior City lawyer, BBC broadcaster and experienced global speaker.
A fun networking session will conclude our day together, designed to facilitate apprentices from the different organisations to meet and bond over drinks and canapes while putting into practice some of their newly learned skills.
TLP Apprentice Conference: Who should attend?
This event isn’t just aimed at those completing law apprenticeships such as solicitor, chartered legal executive and paralegal apprenticeships. We are also keen to welcome any apprentices working in a law firm setting whether it be HR apprentices, business apprentices, government law apprentices, civil service law apprentices or private sector apprentices working in legal practice.
TLP Apprentice Conference: Headline Speaker
We have partnered with highly experienced lawyer and dynamic trainer Olivia Stoddart to run this debut event. Olivia is the founding director of Impressions Executive Training that focuses on developing the talents and skills of people in the legal industry, particularly around impact.
Olivia’s clients include leading law firms globally and their client organisations. She helps to transform your people from good to excellent assets for your business through fast-paced, interactive, fun, job-focused workshops.
Formerly a broadcaster with the BBC, Olivia began her legal journey with magic circle law firm Allen and Overy, where she trained and practised as a solicitor before joining Herbert Smith Freehills’ learning and development team, designing and delivering customised training for its offices across the world.
